Light a stick of incense with a fiery scent, such as cinnamon, dragon’s blood, or frankincense. Then say: Unsheathe the hidden sword, Fate’s lady, magic’s lord. Slice through what hinders me, Bring truth and clear words. Read what your deck’s guidebook has to say about the suit of swords, then spend some time meditating on their symbolism. Allow your incense to burn out on its own. All day, keep a sharp eye out for any sword imagery you may come across. It will have a special meaning and can help you understand the suit.
