I totally understand where you're coming from.  I'm travelling down the same path as you....solitary healer..... It is hard to find more serious info on Wicca.  You actually will probably have to look elsewhere to find what you're after.  Try looking up shamanism, Reiki, Druidism, & things of that nature to get more about healing.  Wicca comes from all sorts of these beliefs from different cultures, which makes me think of.....one book you might have an interest in, if you can stand the history-lesson style of it, is The Wiccan Mysteries Ancient Origins & Teachings, by Raven Grimassi........Llewellyn Publications.  That may give you some new directions to take your research after you read that, & give you a good base to start from.  Also.....sacred texts website...the addy is on another thread in here somewhere....let me check here........ http://www.sacred-texts.com/index.htm  There ya go.  I have some more sites somewhere....so I will post them if you're interested.  Just let me know.  Good luck on your journey....& keep me posted on your progress.
