How To Make A Corn King For this you will need a reasonably large bundle of ripened corn. Then divide your bundle into four even sections; 2 for the body and legs, 1 divided to make the arms and 1 for the head and some similar coloured thread to tie them together. Take the 2 bundles and tie them together so that the 2 thirds from the cut ends are reunited to make one bundle. Below this towards the grains, divide the bundle into 2 for the legs and tie these with the thread, you should now have a sort of A shape with grains at the bottom to represent the feet. Then take 1 of the remaining bundles and add it to the cut ends, folding it over to create a head shape, with the grains sticking up as hair, then if you are happy with how it looks, tie it together. Now take the fourth quarter and divide it into 2 and lay the halves along each other so that there is grain at both ends, for the hands, then tie across the body to make the arms. Now that you have your man shape you can decorate the head with flowers, with dark ones for the eyes, red for the mouth and a crown of yellow.
