Wheel Of The Year The Wiccan Calendar contains 13 Full Moon celebrations and 8 Sabbats or Days of Power. Four of these are determined by the Solstices and Equinoxes, the astronomical beginnings of the seasons. The other four ritual occaisons are based on old folk festivals. The rituals give structure and order to the Wiccan year, and also remind us of the endless cycle that will continue long after we are gone. The Four Sabbats are: Imbolc | February 2nd | Beltane | April 30th | Lughnasadh | August 1st | Samhain | October 31st | The Four Solstices and Equinoxes are: Yule | December 21st | Ostara | March 21st | Litha/Midsummer | June 21st | Mabon | September 21st | Click on the buttons below to view the corresponding Sabbat page | Yule |
