Herbs and Plants       Herbs and Plants have medicinal and magickal uses in Wicca and Witchcraft, herbs can be used in oils and incense and also correspond to planetary symbolism. Herbs can be used in Spells, Charms, Potions and used as offerings to Spirits and Deities, they can be used to " Charge " candles; this is done by hollowing out the base of a candle and the appropriate herb is placed within it and then sealed over with melted wax. Herbs are traditionally planted by seed at the time of the New Moon and once the plant is mature, it is harvested when the moon is full. Sometimes not all of the plant is used, maybe just the blossoms or the leaves or roots if only needed.   Here I have added some pages about Herbs and Plants, even though herbs and plants have been used for centuries as an integral part of the Craft, please note that not all are safe to use and can have Unpleasant side effects or even result in Death if taken internally! Herbal work, if not used in spells is a form of complementary medicine and should be used in addition to conventional medicine, not as a replecement. Also please remember that if you are not a Qualified Herbalist, always start with diluted forms of remedies, just incase of a allergic reaction and never experiment on someone else or consume any herb which is not designed for such use as, i.e. a herbal tea or food product, unless you are very knowledgeable about all its effects. As with all medicines, if you are unsure about using them or their effects, always consult a Qualified Herbalist.
