Tea Leaf Reading

All that you need for this is loose Tea, hot water, a Teapot and a Cup and saucer, but not a Mug, Teaspoon, Milk and Sugar if desired.

Make the tea in the teapot and then let it stand to brew for a few moments before pouring, but when you do pour, Do Not use a tea strainer! Then add the milk and sugar if required, stir the tea and then let it rest for a moment, so that the leaves sink to the bottom of the cup and you won't end up with them in your mouth. Then drink the tea, untill there is around half a centimetre of tea left in the cup. Then swirl the cup Three times to resuspend the tea leaves in the liquid that is left and then quickly turn the cup upside down onto the saucer.

What you should then have left in the cup are groups of tea leaves. Look at these leaves carefully and look for shapes formed by the leaves. The images you see on the right ( this is your strong hand, if you are right handed ) are Coming and the images on the left are Departing. Images of Air shapes are to do with communication, a Bird may mean a message. Fire indicates Passions and Urgency. Water images link to your Emotional life and to Travel. Earth images are linked to the Physical. Many shapes are easy to interpret, such as Mountains indicate Obstacles, some you may not be sure of, but with practice it will get easier, you may even want to make a quick drawing of the shapes that you are not sure of and then take another look and think about the meanings later.
