Wiccan Runes     Runes are tools of magick and these runes are symbols which, when drawn, painted, traced, carved or visualised, release specific energies. They are magically effective by using personal energy when the carving, painting, tracing or visualisation is done. For example, if you had a friend that needed healing you could carve a healing rune on a piece of wood, visualising her/him in perfect health and then giving it to your friend to wear. Or you could draw a healing rune on a piece of paper and sit before it visualising your friend in a healed and whole state while sending out the energy in the shape of the rune using Personal Power. Runes can also be marked on a person with oil, carved into a candle which is then burned to release its energies, traced or visualised in a bath tub or pond before entering it. They can also be fashioned onto food using ‘power�?and then eaten to bring that specific energy back into the body.   Casting These runes can also be used for casting. One of the oldest methods is to collect twelve flat wooden sticks or small branches of a tree and then mark each stick with a rune. While holding the sticks clearly visualise the question or situation and then cast the sticks to the ground. Then read the runes that are clearly visible or with your eyes closed pick out one rune at random. Then using the information for each rune you can divine its interpretation. Then draw two more sticks at random.    You could also paint the runes onto twelve flat sided stones that you have collected from a beach, riverbed or have even bought. Again visualise the question and then cast the runes to the floor and then interpret the stones that have landed face up and from left to right. On the following pages are the Rune Symbols, their uses and if they have one, a specific colour that they should be drawn with to work in harmony with each other. Below are the tweleve runes often used for divinatory purposes. You can also design your own runes and use them.   The Home - family relations, foundation and stability. Self Image.  Woman - a female influence, or a woman.  Possessions - tangible objects, the material world.  Man - a male influence, or a man.  Love - emotional states, romance, spouse difficulties or influences.  Gift - legacies, promotions, windfalls, also physical gifts, psychic and spiritual gifts, sacrifices, volunteering, giving of oneself.  Poison - gossip, slander, negativity, baneful habits, harmful attitudes.  Comfort - ease, pleasure, security, happiness, joy, a turn for the better.      Wealth - money, financial concerns, employment, employers.  Death - the end of a matter, a new beginning, initiation, change in all forms, purification.  Disordered Thoughts - emotional tension, irrationality, confusion, doubt.  War - conflicts, quarrels, arguments, hostility, aggression, anger, confrontations.     Click Here to go to page one of Wiccan Runes
