Wow!! I can't believe it is already August. Christmas will be here before you know it. I hope everyone is staying comforatable. The humidity here in KY is unbearable. We try to stay inside as much as possible. Scoti did a very stupid thing today. I let our dogs outside in our fenced backyard and he had left the gate opened and the dogs got out. We have 4 small dogs. Scoti thought he should help me catch the dogs and started trying to run to catch them. (that was a scarey sight) Of course running was near impossible for him but he gave it his all. Now he is in so much pain that he is unbearable. I feel so bad for him. It will probably affect him for a week or more.
Well I am just trying to work some more on some pages for our group. Being so lazy that I am tired. I guess I should take a short nap and maybe get back on here tonight.
I'll catch you guys this evening
Tami

Hey Annie,
I am glad to see you are still hanging in there. I wish your jaw would heal for you. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the doc. can do something to help.
I made a prayer page like we talked about. I don't know if you are still interested in helping with that or not but I wanted you to know it was finished.
I'll try to catch up with you this evening.
Tami

Hi All-

Checking in for August. My pain levels have been out of control most of the spring and summer. I had gotten to the point where I wasn't even speaking with anyone outside of my immediate family,  but I had an SCS implanted about 2 weeks ago.  It has been a HUGE help! Now I feel like I can have at least part of my old life back.

Hey all! Just checking in... This summer is going way to fast.
I took a little trip... I'm back home and really am not where I
want to be as far as my pain, and motivation... the pain is
here, and my get up and go... is gone. Prayers work wonders!
God bless all of us!

Hi all, just checking in for August. Also, wondering if anyone has rsd in hands? I have it in L. shoulder, and now L. hand is very achy and weak. I've had the RSD for about 1 year, but they say it's not full-blown case. Having episodes of shaking and dropping things. The rsd doc thinks it's my arthritis (which is well under control with enbrel), and my rheumatologist thinks it could be rsd spreading. I'm a secretary and having increasing difficulty with typing. Also, seems like fingers are curling in, harder &harder to straighten them.I'm thinking I'll ask him to add to PT, couldn't hurt. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Dawn

Hi Countrydiva,
I got RSD from a left hand carpal tunnel surgery, I will tell you that the hand needed the surgery about 4 years earlier than when I finally got it done. Now my case of RSD spread to both hands, arms ,shoulders and mid back with in 6 months of the onset. You must know that previously to the onset of RSD I had a total of 5 other nerve surgeries on my arms (elbows, both ulner nerves trapped and right hand carpal tunnel) It was surgery #6 that started the RSD and two months later they re-opened my left elbow because of scare tissue around the ulner nerve...surgery#7, thats when things spread and got bad. Yes, my fingers curl in starting with the little finger being the worst and index finger almost not affected....I am sure that because the ulner nerve controls the little and ring finger and both of my ulner nerves are severly damaged from botched surgeries. It was 2 1/2 years after the last surgery that RSD was finally diagnosed, all of the classic symptoms were there and I was in severe distress during that time. Its been 8 years of RSD now....no more w/c, I am on SSD and I have calmed down drastically with all that stress on me. All of your sysptoms sounded just like mine in the begining. let hope that your RSD dosent spread and it lays down and goes to sleep.

Hi Franknberrie ...... unfortunately when I saw my therapist, he said it's definitely the rsd .... I'm so depressed... I asked my boss when it comes to the time when I can't do my job anymore (I work as a secretary, very fast-paced office), if there was another job I can do thats slower, and there isn't anything. We're barely scraping by now, I don't know what we'll do then. It's been really flaring up bad. PT says that I haven't lost any range of motion, but I've lost a lot of strength really quickly. I've been trying to keep positive and just keep going, but it's so hard, as I'm sure you know. This disease just really takes over your life, and it's hard to explain to the kids that they have to be careful now not to hurt me, and I just don't have the energy to do things with them like I want to.. I hope they understand. Thanks for listening, Hope you & everyone else has a low-pain day.....Dawn
