Which line of color do you use?  What do you think about the other lines of products that are out there?

We are using Matrix where I work, Socolor, Colorsinch, and V-lite. We used to use Logics, but they switched on us. We had a class about it to teach us how to use it though. It's a little more difficult to understand, but I really like the results. I also like Clairol, which is very explanitory in it's colors. I also like mixing to create different formulas. You know, I was thinking of making another list page that we could share our own formulas that we have created. I would love some input about this. What do you think?

When I was in school we used many different lines of color.  I really liked the Scruples line.  I never had any problems with it (knock on wood).  I believe that is probably the line that I will carry in my shop.  Does anyone know how scruples and matrix compare?  I also like to mix my own colors it always seems to please the client.  I feel like I have accomplished some big feat when it comes out just the way I wanted it to.

Yes! I agree with you about the feeling of accomplishment you are talking about with mixing colors. Haircolor is just about my favorite thing about my job. Such a sense of creativity.

I've never tried Scruples, but I've heard great things about it.

there`s another color that has been very successful for my clients...it`s Revlonissima by the Revlon professional line. My experience with the chromatic colors, especially plums, and burgandy shades have been excellent.Although the Matrix reds are outstanding, these chroma colors are shockingly vibrant, and last for more than six weeks...

I LOVE REDKEN COLOR. ESPECIALLY THERE SEMI-PERMANENT LINE SHADES EQ. IT'S THE BEST FOR COLOR CORRECTION OR TO INTRODUCE YOUR CLIENT TO COLOR. THE SHINE YOU GET IS AMAZING. YOU CAN ALSO USE IT ON REALLY DAMAGED HAIR WITH GREAT RESULTS.

Old thread once again but here it goes... I use Wella Color Touch and Koleston Perfect, and Blondor. Exceptional grey coverage, less fadeage on all colours, and nice scalp to ends bleaching for the blondor.  I ahve used other colour lines and I always had to compinsate for this or that add extra for that but not so with the Wella lines. Save so much time I can look at my book and just know.

Hi I love socolor I have been lucky to work with everyone of the lines so far. I love matrix because you can hand paint color graffics right on top of the socolor formula to add a very interesting effect. I found the other color did not have the same result.

With 15 years under my belt, you play with lots of products. At the moment, I use  Joico color (verocolor), Joico products, Iso perms, Gigi and Satin Smooth wax. I used Matrix for years and enjoyed working with them. An oldie, and still a goodie, is Zotos. Every once in a while, I'll pick up some of their perms and they always give me excellent results. I took my training with Wella and I never used it again. But I hear great things about it. Regarding lightener, I am using Veroblue from Joico and I LOVE IT! It's a de-dusted on/off scalp lightener. It contains conditioning ingredients to protect hair's cuticle and inner structure during the lightening process. And the best part? It lifts up to 7 levels! Just opening up the container is great! Oh, another good product is Kiwi. I really enjoy working with the 'blow dry serum'.
