Howdy! Today I'm baking cookies; oatmeal, peanut butter and lemon almond. I've made cherry pecan loaves, espresso biscotti, cherry almond shortbread cookies and coconut macaroons. I'm still looking for something else to make. How's the party coming? What time shall I be there?

Hey BB! Your white elephant party sounds like it was a blast. I'm glad your Christmas was nice. Mine was really good this year. Marta and her hubby are coming for dinner New Year's Eve and they'll ring in the new year with us.

To be honest with you, I haven't heard anything from LV either....I'm getting worried too. It's been so nuts around my house the past two weeks that I really haven't had much time to do alot, but I will send off an email to her today and let you know what I find out. As far as I know we're still trying to find us a new home for the group, we promise we won't let anyone disappear.....and you can count on me going nowhere....you're all stuck with me!

I'll let Marie know what you said.....things aren't going really good for her and her family right now and I know she's had alot on her plate. I should be talking with her shortly, so I'll tell her what you said.

I'm sorry to hear about your hubby being laid off, that really sucks. I hope 2009 is a better year for you and everyone. I think a countdown to the new album would be a wonderful idea....I'll post something on the What's New page...what'dya think?

Sorry to hear that your hubby got laid off, hope that he finds another job soon.

You & your family must have been really good this year, to get Guitar Hero from Santa!!! Sucks that they're aren't any U2 songs on it though.

Sure I'd appreciate Edge's guitar playing even more if I ever were to play that! LOL

What did you do for New Year's? Last night we went to a friends' home & hung out with some friends that I hadn't seen in awhile, was lots of fun!!!

I hope that 2009 will be a great year for you & your family!!

HI BB!

Funny thing about the Thai food night...I went to go pick up my friends Tim and Neil to go to the Pad Thai restaurant and low and behold the Canadians Jr Gold medal game started a lot earlier than we had thought -- and the Oilers game was on at 7:30...but when we arrived at the restaurant they had no TV's.

So in true Canadian fashion we took our hockey loving butts over to Montana's grill and had some delicious steaks and some girl-drink-drunk (Pina Colada's and Daquiris) whilst watching our Canadian Boys take the Gold and The Oilers come back to beat the NY Islanders.

So no heartburn for this lady, just a wonderful evening out. I am counting my blessings that 2009 has really started off so magical for me.

Today another friend of mine called and said she would like to take me out to the Oilers game tonight (vs. Vancouver) to keep the birthday celebration going and so once again I am "forced" to do my favorite thing--Go see The Oilers!

Honestly, I should buy myself a lottery ticket! LOL!

I hope your new year has started out great too!
