MRS. WHITE:
He was always a rather stupidly optimistic man.
I mean, I'm afraid it came as a great shock to him when he died.
Colonel Mustard: This is war Peacock. Casualties are inevitable. You can not make an omelet without breaking some eggs, every cook will tell you that.
Mrs. Peacock: But look what happened to the cook!
Colonel Mustard: How many husbands have you had?
Mrs. White: Mine or other women's?
Colonel Mustard: Yours.
Mrs. White: Five.
Colonel Mustard: Five?
Mrs. White: Yes, just the five. Husbands should be like Kleenex: soft strong and disposable.
Colonel Mustard: You lure men to their deaths like a spider with flies.
Mrs. White: Flies are where men are most vulnerable.
Colonel Mustard: Right!
My second is the movie The Princess Bride. These are some of my favorite lines from it:
Hello, my name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. --Mandy Patinkin as Inigo Montoya
"Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work. But I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it. I'm swamped." -- Prince Humperdinck ~ The Princess Bride
Westley: [as he is unsuccessfully fighting Fezzik] Look, are you just fiddling around with me or what?
Fezzik: I just want you to feel you're doing well. I hate for people to die embarrassed.
My third is the movie Star Trek IV. This is a quote from it:
Star Trek IV: William Shatner (Kirk - after they land the Enterprise in the park) - "Everybody remember where we parked."
My fourth (yes, I have a lot of favorites, lol) is the movie To Kill a Mockingbird. This is a quote from it:
Gregory Peck (Atticus Finch): I remember when my daddy gave me that gun. He told me that I should never point it at anything in the house. And that he'd rather I'd shoot at tin cans in the backyard, but he said that sooner or later he supposed the temptation to go after birds would be too much, and that I could shoot all the blue jays I wanted, if I could hit 'em, but to remember it was a sin to kill a mockingbird. Well, I reckon because mockingbirds don't do anything but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat people's gardens, don't nest in the corncrib, they don't do one thing but just sing their hearts out for us.
