My friend and I had just found our seats when the light went out. (blame it on LA traffic) It was a great show. I loved the stage setup with the eclipse. The lights and backdrops were wild. There was a giant video screen with four sections and each of the boys had a camera on them at all times. I like that a lot. Good for the folks in nose-bleed seats. I enjoyed Bono's stage presence. He hopped, skiped, and jumped around while singing. My personal favorites were Vertigo, Beautiful Day, and Elevation. Those songs really had the crowd going wild. One and Sometimes gave me chills. The band presented their views by showing The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights on the backdrop. The band encouraged the crowd to text message their support for the ONE campaign. When I looked at my watch to see what time it was and I was surprised to see how quickly time had passed. When the boys left the stage I was saddened because that was the end of the show. No real encore of sorts where everyone is shouting. The boys had taken a small break during the show. I was told by a fellow concert goer that since the Anaheim Pond is part of Disney, there is a time restraint for how long events can last into the night. So my friend and I made the treck back to our car singing Elevation as loud as we could. Overall the crowd was very friendly. It was an all ages show but most of the people I saw were 30 and older. I guess the younger crowd was down in the eclipse! Most everyone was dressed very nice. The ladies were dressed to impress the boys in the band. I am so excited to be able to see U2 play in Los Angeles next week. I hope I was able to give you a little glimpse into the show last night. Feel free to ask me any questions . I will write again after the LA show. |

Wow, it sounds like you had a WONDERFUL time. I'm so glad you posted your review. Thanks. Any pics from the show? I love hearing the reviews, especially from the people who never saw the band before. Am I remembering correctly that this is the first time you got to see U2 live? If so, you'll remember it forever. Can't wait to hear the review from your next show. |

yes, it was my first time seeing U2 play. I was very memorable. No pictures. They were pretty strict on bringing in cameras and my cell phone doesn't have a camera on it. I had some neon rings that I wanted to light and a vendor for the event said they weren't allowing glowsticks or anything like that. And in place of lighters everyone used the LCD screen of their cellphones to light up the place. It was neat to see. |

I know that Bono is most ladies dream, but there was something about Edge's way last night that kept my eye on him. I love the beanies/hats he wears. He has this quiet/cool guy attitude that is pretty hot! I guess I should just ask Edge-Gurl!! |

I'm working to find out if cameras are or are not allowed in the shows. We're getting mixed messages. I understand that they ARE allowed as long as they aren't 35MM SLR's or professional cameras. I'm trying to find out whether that is definite or not and will post. I AM planning on taking mine though either/or so we will get pics of those shows. Many are able to sneak them in anyway. BTW, who was it that told you NO cameras MZ? Was it the security at the arena when you got there? TM policy is that all tickets will state no audio, no video, no cameras on the them, but it's always up to the individual band and U2 has never really had a problem with cameras as far as I've seen. |

Hmm, everyone on U2.com that was at the Anaheim show that took cameras was saying that as long as they didn't have detachable lenses they were allowing them in. One person in particular asked the security specifically and when told yes they were allowed, went back to her car and got hers and took it in visibly with no questions. Did you see anyone having theirs confiscated? I'm asking all these questions because I plan on taking mine and want to know HOW I need to get it in. |

This is what I got as a reply to my question to U2.com about the camera thing.... If you can't detach the lens, the camera is ok.
Right now, the U2 security team has been very good about telling venue security. I think there is no official announcement b/c each venue has its own rules, so if we say yes, and they say no, then the fans willl be mad. Best thing to do is ASK the security staff even if you see signs to the contrary.
So right now, its a case by case basis, but just so you know, I'm planning on taking mine.
