It would seem as if some part of your program that controls your CD player/burner is missing, the best solution is to reload the program using the disc but of course the disc may not work, so first go to start then the control panel and open the system box, system properties opens up click the hardware tab then device manager when you open the device manager you should find that one of the icons is replaced with a yellow question mark, click the plus sign next to it and it will open to the particular missing part I think the next thing is right click it and choose repair or upgrade driver.
Sorry the last bit is a bit vague but I walked through the first part but didnt find a q mark to practice on.
Other than this you will need to re-load the driver if the disc wont work you may find one by googling on the net if you need help finding one you will need to know the brand
