Examples of correct Artist and Copyright Credits!
Having "Assembled by" is not proper artist credit and copyright on BG's,yet many people still use it thinking its proper credit its not.Other sets and images lack credit for the Artists.
LEGIBLE and proper Credit must be given to the Artist of all images (tags, siggies, welcomes, etc) and clipart used, no matter if you created from scratch, got from a site that allows people to use their art or clipart, or own the CD they came from, or if you just assembled it from other "pieces" or sets. Here are some examples of proper artist and copyright credits that we are looking for. ALL sets lacking proper ARTIST credit and Copyrights will be deleted because they are not complying with copyright law.
Proper credit (If YOU created the art / images used) would be something like:

More specific credit:
Some people get real specific like:
You can get as specific as you want with your copyrights or keep it simple as long as the credits are there. The more specific the better!
Now,if you did not create yourself what you are sharing (backgrounds/images), but only "assembled" them from other sets or using various images / backgrounds,proper credit would be (IF you have permission to use the images)
Note that above there is NO copyright for "YourNameHere" because that person didn't create the images / sets, they "assembled" them from someone else's work (with permission) and cannot claim copyright to them. But the copyright credit and link for the images is given as required.
LASTLY, there are alot of backgrounds from "auto scripters" and "auto webset makers" - THOSE must be credited also to the artist who created the backgrounds.If you operate an auto background creator, please make sure that on your website where the generator is,that you have proper credit to the artist (yourself or otherwise) for all backgrounds.If you add Tags or Images to those sets when posting here, or any sets, a Legible Copyright and credit link must be given for the creator / artist of the images.
If you have things shared now that are lacking proper credit for the Artist (whether thats YOU or someone else)or copyright (whether the © belongs to you or someone else)then please RE-post them with proper credits and copyrights.
