Still finding my way around your fabulous site . . . and realised I had not done an intro for myself - so here goes!
I am a mother of two grown daughters and Nana Jenny to 8 grandchildren (only one grand daughter amongst the lot), plus three step grandsons.
I only started doing my family tree one year ago - with little info whatsoever. All the older generation with all the knowledge have long gone - however, through the gracious help of newly found 'cousins' I have never met - I had a baptism of fire in how to research my ancestors. I have also become a master at google-ing!! And I am not too proud to ask for help wherever possible. Of course I am hooked and spend countless hours 'researching' on the net! It is really amazing what you can find out there in cyber space. I have over 5,300 ancestors in my tree now!
Reading some other people's intros - I too cannot claim a First Fleeter - but do have a convict ancestor who was a Third Fleeter in 1891 - plus another 3 convicts along the way between 1803 and 1823.
