Hi All,

My name is Lisa and thanks allowing me to join your group. I hope that I can help you and that you may be able to help me. I hope I do not bore you to much with an outline of who I am researching.

I have a disc on the Pioneers of GOULBURN if anyone has ancestors who lived in the GOULBURN area and would like me to look up information I am happy to do that. I also have NSW BDM Disc. I can look up NSW births, deaths and marriages for you as well if you wish.

I am researching my mother's and father's family tree and I go between the two. When I get stuck with one I go the other. My mother's family are the DONELANs who came out from IRELAND in the 1850's and settled in HAMILTON, VICTORIA.

My Great Grandfather Richard DONELAN b.1837 in KILCONNEL, GALWAY, IRELAND came out with his two brothers Robert b.abt 1832 and Charles b.1839.
Their older sister Elizabeth later followed them out here from IRELAND. She married Alexander WILSON.

They lived and worked with their uncle Acheson FRENCH. Then later moved to the ALBURY.
My grandfather Richard DONELAN in the 1920's I think moved from ALBURY, N.S.W.

My 4th Great Grandmother on my mothers side was Rachel EARLEY she came out to AUSTRALIA as a convict with the first fleet. She met my 4th Great Grandfather Samuel MARSDEN who was a soldier and they had a daughter Elizabeth who married Uriah ALLENDER.
He was also a convict that came out from ENGLAND and settled in TASMANIA in 1804.
Some of the ALLENDER children of Uriah and Elizabeth later moved to VICTORIA.
Henry my great great grandfather left TASMANIA in the 1850's for MELBOURNE in search of Gold.
Henry married Emma ATKINS.
Their daughter Cecilia my Great Grandmother married my Great Grandfather Richard
DONELAN.
Cecilia died in 1888 when my grandfather Richard DONELAN was just one years of age.

I am really interested to make contact with anyone who is connected to the DONELAN, ALLENDER or BURKE families.

My father's side are the BURKEs.
My Great Great Grandfather was William John BOURKE / BURKE b.1835 TIPPERARY, IRELAND.
He came out from IRELAND sometime before 1862. He married my Great Great Grandmother Bridger O'Brien also from IRELAND at St Peter and Paul Cathedral in 1862. They had two children that I have confirmed John b.1865 and Bridget b.1870. John married Kate (Catherine O'NEILL) and Bridget married Michael REARDON.
John and Kate had two children William Patrick Joseph BURKE b.1893 and Dorothy Mary BURKE b.1898 they were both born in GOULBURN.
William my grandfather married Edith HOYE.

Big thank you for everyone for reading my post I hope I have not bored you all to much.

Please feel free to contact me if you think you have any information that may help me or if you have any questions.

Many Thanks
Lisa
