ok i dont really live in woods, but whatever, actually our city is called the forest city <--- that is our city logo.... not so much anymore seems they are cutting down all our trees in the parks lol. ummm what to say, well im in london, which is in western ontario. <--- that is the universitys logo..our university is very popular with students coming from as far as japan to study here.. the university grounds are so big, its almost like a city within a city.. ummmm we are also home to st peters seminary (where men study to become preists) we have tons of squirrels in our city (trust me on this one dont go to the park downtown with out some food or they will get you!) and just recently a local artist donated the UGLIEST metal trees throughout the downtown core.. here is a picture of one before it was put into the sidewalk  they are neon pink, green, yellow, blue and orange.. they are supposed to be true likeness (the leaves and like pincones) of diff trees, but i just think (as well as many other londoners!) they look so stupid!! our transit system isnt too bad, but there is room for improvement, as im sure there is with any public transportation  in our city you have to have a licence for a cat the same as you would have for a dog, which is kind of wierd!!(heres the purrrrfect place to put my kitty lol) one thing that was in the news that happend a number of years ago, in 1958 in fact, slippery the seal (from a theme park here in london called storybook gardens) somehow escaped from his tank, (from here is fuzzy as i couldnt find exact details) and eventually died.  another claim to fame, in 1983, miss karen baldwin was crowned miss canada and went on to be crowned miss universe.. my cousin worked and also dated her before this time!!!  thats all i can think of right now, but if i remember anything i will be sure and post it! thanks for putting up with my rambling! |
