Time tells me
I am ungrateful, thankless.
For this and that
are not of much importance
as once upon and I am learning,
 not to depend.
Although in my mind
I always ached for more
desired that you heard
or pictured me, within some mood
of pleasurable thought.
And when I hurt, to hold me
yet carry no blame.
None was offered,
I am my own influence,
not paved in virtue, I colour
my own course.
And as I remember this and you,
I travel one uncertain line,
backed into bed on comforts pillow,
appreciate brief, tender moments.
My need of you
unsated.

Hey Maria  this one caused some debate on another forum ...It was written on a sigh...does that make sense?..that is why I used comforts (as in common placed home comforts) rather than comfort's as in relaxed and at ease...hmmm ambiguity...I should call a spade a shovel and be done with it..LOL

Funny how we write according to emotion...sometimes from the heart and others to entertain...that what makes you a wonderful poetess Kayo...you did well.

I loved these lines

I am my own influence,
not paved in virtue, I colour
my own course.
I think that sums us all up, quite well... bear

Dare I say...'Happy New Year', Stella?
Yes...of course I will, though mine started on a downer a while back..and just got worse health wise recently,
but funny how time and life has a way of eventually leveling.

Another insightful write, and words well chosen in their ambiguity,
though not too much so of it, there is an obvious sadness in these words, Zy x

Hey Zy..I wish for you a healthier New Year..

I too have had a nasty little virus  all over this break..my hopes of working vanished with a cough!!  So I sorta felt sorry for myself somewhat..not a good mood, this feeling sorry for oneself.  I shall have to pull me socks up some!
And I guess time is a leveler...it has to be!
What would I do without my writing?...possibly  go quite, quite mad...
