If

~~

If I walked from here to there

How far would it be?

If I walked from here to there

Would you follow me?

If I walked from here to there

What wonders would I see?

And if I walked from here to there

Would I at last be free?

Hi Val!
I really like this poem about "if". We so often wonder "what if?". What would happen if... I also see the poem as being about someone trying to find the courage to leave her present, unwanted situation. Hope I have interpreted it correctly.
I have also just read two other of your poems;
"My Fear" - such a heart-rendering poem. Everyone hope they will never have to suffer the pain of loosing a child as it must be one of the worst things ever. My grandmother lost her first child (about 6-8 months old, I think, she was), but she never ever spoke of it. It must have been far too painful for her.
Great writing of yours!
"Suspicion" - very powerful poem. I certainly hope I will never have to meet someone like the person described.
I have truly enjoyed reading your poems tonight.
Eva

Hy again, Val, I echo Eva's words....another questionong piece which makes one wonder...'what if'.

I have also enjoyed reading you work very much in this morning session of catching up, I am so glad I have found time to, or I would have missed a lot of pleasure, Zy x
