Thanks Trina - Greenwood's song is part of Americana now,  I consider it to be one of a couple of songs that could be considered an unofficial national anthem.  What a night!!!!

Well, Louisiana didn't put evil in the White House, which is what this nation will have there come January.   I'm very disappointed with the people who voted for these baby-killers but understand that their short-sightedness and biblical ignorance did not serve them well when they voted.  Not-withstanding, this nation should prosper with a racist president who is loved by the muslim world and other religious nations.   I will never refer to him as my president because he is of the Devil and not worthy.  Sure, I'll pray for him as Israel prayed for Herod and Ceasar.  But, this nation is now on a downward spiral that will end with disaster and destruction.

Well it was just on the news a few days ago that there is more muslims living here in the USA than there are in Afganastan.

Good choice, Trina, and one of my favorite songs too, thanks for the post!!

Goodseed, your hatred and intolerance make me sick, you words are everything that is NOT American.  How dare you use this board, and particularly this lovely thread, as a platform to spew your prejudice and narrow-minded views, so very ugly!

Val,

The truth is the truth.  Obama believes in abortion which makes him a baby killer in God's eyes.  Yes I hate him just like Israel hated Herod.  But, you won't have to worry about me posting anything else on this board.

Well, sometimes the truth is ugly.   I was listening to the radio today and among the main issues it seems the race came down to race or age. Why did we pick those two canadates in the first place when there were better choises. Im sure time will tell

This was a very interesting election. A lot of rhetoric and mudslinging, a lot of emotionalism engaged in by both sides. My "lesser of two evils" candidate lost. My vote for him was actually a vote against a candidate I honestly felt would do America harm, based upon what I was able to find out as fact regarding his policies, record, history, and intentions. Intolerance and racism had nothing to do with it. Sure, my underlying religious beliefs played a role in how well I was able to recieve the opposing viewpoints presented by the winning candidate and my perceptions of his intentions in leading the country. But for the next four years, he is this county's President. It is up to him to decide how he will conduct himself. Will he continue to be the darling of leftists Hugo Chavez, Momar Quadhaffi and the Black Panthers, or will he center himself more in the political spectrum once the reality of office sets in and work to protect our constitution, not erode it?  Only time will tell. I for one will give him that chance (like I have a choice? ) but if I disagree with what he proposes for "change", you cannot expect me to not oppose it. That would be... intolerant.

Absolutely true Michael,  I will give Obama the same chance I have given every president that has been elected since I started voting in 1980.  Some I have liked, some I personally thought were idiots, but I have respected each and every one of them because being pres. is a thankless job.  Show me one president who didn't get an awful lot of grey hair while in office...  This is all what makes this country of ours great.
