I'm thinking this year I'll actually plan ahead and get some Christmas gifts for my family. Not quite sure what to get though. I don't want to spend a fortune. I have lots of ideas, but I'm just wondering what does everyone else do? And is it too self serving to get them PC gifts? This is actually the first time I've given PC gifts to family! I've done it for non-family members, but feel a little funny doing it with my family. I mean is a PC gift personal enough without looking like a plug for PC? Michelle |

I don't think it is a bad idea at all. Last year, I gave a group gift to my sisters family. I bought my neice and nepew the PC chefs hats and aprons, cook book and cookie cutters. Then I put the ingrediants for cookies into the small batter bowl (PC batter bowl gift idea). Of course I had to put other things in there too for the little ones, but they loved it. For my aunt and uncle I did the batter bowl thing too. I knew they could use it, plus i put some coffee and candlesticks in there, kinda a romantic package for the two of them. This year I have to think of something else creative to do, but I think it will be something PC related...Plus who doesn't love PC? |

I sell for 3 companies, PC, Home Interiors and The Body Shop at Home ( I do Body Shop mainly for my addiction, I dont do parties) but my mother loves candles so i give her candles from Home Interiors. She's got dry hands so I give her the Hemp Dry Skin collection from Body Shop. You taylor the gifts to each person you give for, that's all. Its not a plug, they know you love PC and they know you want to share that love, ya know? My parents love pizza, so I gave them a make your own pizza set, you could do the same, get a basket and put it all together. I gave my parents the pizza lovers set last year along with recipes and fixins to get em goin since they're big pizza lovers. Its not a plug good luck! |

Michelle, Since I started a year ago I give PC gifts wherever and to whoever I can. Had my best girlfriend circle the catelog - what she didn't buy at the numerous shows she had and went to for me I bought for her. Bought the mother in law something for mother's day, birthday and Christmas. Father in law got the wine bottle opener as a part of his Christmas gift along with a golfing gift certificate. Sister in law got stoneware for her birthday and will get S/A and spreaders for Christmas. Teachers get bakers...etc Why not promote your business? You love it and want to share!!! (and it helps the wallet if you got it free or discounted, right? ) |

Oh ya almost forgot, father in law got barbecue tools for father's day and my daughter's male teacher got them at the end of the year (just a couple with the recipe cards). I got THOSE ones for the teacher free when I had a show and the other teacher for my son got the chilzanne that I got at half price. They're thrilled at the value of the gift since they've all seen the catelog and we know we saved more than just our 20 something percent. Win/Win And now all the teacher's are joking about fighting for MY kids for their class as they promote from grade to grade!! |

All of my children and some of the grandkids are getting PC for Christmas. I added my order on to my last $1000 show and got then hosts discount plus my commision. Thanks to my great host I saved over $200. Margie PS Most of my kids have asked all year for different things. I got stones during the stone sale. |

I gave PC products to my sisters last year and they loved it. For my son's BD I gave him the barbecue tools and case and I wasn't sure what he would think (22 yrs) but he was very pleased with it. This year I will be giving more. Val |

I gave my mother-in-law the blue Quick Stir Pitcher that I got in one of my surprise packs at conference. My sister was there and asked if she could put in her Christmas present request now! Everyone else there said Oooh...yeah, me too! LOL I was thrilled, because I had thought about giving PC, but that sealed the deal! |

My kid's teacher's got the small bowl and caddy last year, and I let my kids decide what to fill them with. The teacher's loved them! This year, I plan on giving them the stoneware molds (and a chocolate made in them), so I can earn the RUFTH charm! |

those are some awesome ideas!!! I think it's just like any gift you want it to "match" the person...... something they would like or enjoy. (as long as it doesn't look like a left over..... I think anyone would love any of these PC ideas!!! Anyone else have any other ideas? I'm thinking of making some of the Kiss filled whisks to have on hand for those "last minute-surprise" gifts! Does anyone have any pictures of the gifts they've done? |

We had a great demo at our cluster meeting in September about a Gifts Idea Show. Here are a few of the things she does as gifts using PC items. ~ Prep bowls filled with candy are great for small gifts ~ Hershey kisses in a whisk "Whisking you a Merry Kiss-mas!" ~ small loaf of bread or beef log or quality cheese paired with the new bar board and knife set ~ bouquet of chocolate covered spoons in a measure all cup ~ tools in an oven mitt (a lot like the back of the new holiday mini catalog) ~ bath salts in a prep bowl with a bamboo spoon. the bath salts are so easy to make! mix 4C kosher salt with a few drops of essential oil, a very small amount of food coloring is optional.
Hope these ideas help!

Here's what I'm doing for a lot of gifts since my family loves fudge, especially homemade! I'm making fudge stars using the easy accent decorator and putting a big bag of them in a small simple additions bowl. the fudge is so very easy to make! use 16 oz each of peanut butter and vanilla frosting. microwave each for 30-60 seconds (enough to make it easy to get out of the jar and mix). once heated, spoon them into the batter bowl and mix together. when the fudge starts to get thickish and grainy spoon into the EAD and make little fudge drops onto parchment paper. i got about 125 fudge stars from one batch. the hardest part is getting the fudge to be the right consistency to come out the EAD and still keep its shape. |
