I don't know about .308 conversions, but some Enfields came as .308 rifles from the factory. |

The ones I've seen around here have been converted from original brits in the no4 mark 1/2's originally marked 303 but restamped as 308, then chopped and diced and blended to cook up a mongrel stew of an originally fine rifle. |

I personally like the 303 , not great , but different. I have two ,one "sporterized, and one origional " . You may try Sarco inc they have tons of unique and standard stuff. They advertise in the shotgun news. their website is www.sarcoinc.com phone no. 908-647-3800 open M-F 8.00amto4;15 pm EST. |

Brewknife, did you ever find a stock for that Enfield? I might have one laying around my shop somewhere. Sarge |

Enfields are my favorite military bolt rifles. I have both, .303's and .308's. The problem with the 08's is finding magazines. Are there any .308 Enfield magazines available at this gun shop, and if so, how much? Thanks. |

The last Enfield mag I bought was at the local gun show for 35 bucks in 303. At least I got my old Enfield back together. |

Thanks Sarge, but got a complete upper and lower stock in new ordinance condition for 40.00. Hard part was the hardware. Old Cye at the gunshow had all I needed for 30.00. So far, it's looking pretty good. Will send pix later. |
