I came across this book at the bookstore browsing for anything Tudor to read.
It's Robin Maxwell's first book it is said. I'm also reading her book, 'Madesoiselle Boleyn'. Both are a wonderful read I think.
The diary book is interesting to me because of Elizabeth's reaction upon recieving it.
Has anyone else read this...and is so, what are your thoughts on it?
My favorite read is anything about Anne Boleyn. I find her the most fascinating of all.
I'm so glad I found this site!  Anything to do with Englands past I love reading about.
Although I'll say, the Tudors are my very favorite.

I picked it up over the summer at the book outlet dirt cheap   It wasn't bad, really.  I enjoyed how the author drew the parallels between Anne's & Elizabeth's lives, & how the discovery of the diary set Elizabeth on the course that we all now know.  I've always thought Elizabeth, who was not quite three when Anne was beheaded, often longed for a mother to be close to, especially as she quietly wore that portrait ring with Anne's picture in it, so the author's approach did make sense to me.  Twas also fairly well written & you didn't have to slog through bad prose
