I am currently reading and almost finished with "My Lady of Cleves" by Margaret Campbell Barnes. Until now I had not read any of her books. I like this story, it makes Anne really come alive. And the supposed love between her and Holbein! And then Henry coming to visit her for two days and kissing her, saying maybe he had made a mistake! This story let's you in on how it may have really been for Anne, having a husband who never wanted her, the years as his "sister. Makes me believe though that she was the luckiest of Henry's wives! A good read. Tudorgalusa |

I've got a vintage copy of her Brief Gaudy Hour, the Anne Boleyn book, but I didn't know she'd written an Anne of Cleves one as well....will have to keep an eye peeled |

My copy of "My Lady of Cleves" is dated 1946. I want to get "Brief Gaudy Hour" I have heard here and on other groups that it is a good read. I am sure you would enjoy MLoC and I have seen it on Amazon.com. Tudorgalusa |

Even though "My Lady of Cleves" is a novel it was wonderful to read. I finished it last night and am kind of sad to leave Anne behind, for now. It really brought her to life for me. I would recommend this to all "Tudor" enthusiasts. Tudorgalusa |
