Buckle yer swashes LOL This is a goodie!  Johnny Depp was hot in a creepy unwashed sort of way, & a not-blond Orlando Bloom takes some getting used to after looking at his elfin ears for so long in the LOTR movies.  Depp's character, JAck (aren't all good pirates named Jack? LOL) is a pirate captain whose crew mutinied out of greed & stole his ship, the Black Pearl.  Alas, greed comes with its price, as the treasure has laid a curse upon them all & they are unable to die or do anything else nice humans like to do.  Great sequences of how the moonlight shows them as their true skeletal selves.  Anyway, to lift the curse they have to get every last bit of the treasure & return it to its source.  Bloom's character, Will, is wearing the last coin around his neck & has no clue what it is & where it came from.  Many piratical hijinks ensue, including a great night raid on the governor's mansion where his daughter is taken hostage by the pirates, cannons going off everywhere, clashing swords.....like I said, buckle yer swash!  Fun times.

Richards To Play Depp's Father

Hollywood hunk Johnny Depp's wish has been granted - Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is set to play his father in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Treasures Of The Lost Abyss. Depp has admitted that he based his character Captain Jack Sparrow on the aging rocker when he shot the 2003 hit Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl, and now the stars are reportedly set to team up on screen. Earlier this year, Depp was alleged to have expressed an interest in Richards playing his father. The sequel is set to begin filming in February, with director Gore Verbinski taking the helm again.
