Hey, tis Tudor enough....DaVinci lived at Francois's court LOL....close enough!

Really was surprised at the length of this film & how closely it stayed with the book's plot (remembering what a fabulous book Absolute Power was & what a lousy Clint Eastwood showcase flick it was turned into).  The French actress playing Sophie Neveu was very good, & Ian McKellan stole the movie (right out from under Tom Hanks's rather wooden performance) as Leigh Teabing.  Why they had to fiddle & dee with the ending when they had stayed so faithful to the plot otherwise I am sure I dunno

Anyways, it was pretty good, so go see it especially if you've read The DaVinci Code

I had read the book several years ago, but after seeing the movie the only thing I noticed different was Sophie's relationship to Sauniere....Did I miss a change in the ending thru my 'senior memory lost'?

In the book her parents & brother were not really dead after all.....it was a very clever ruse to throw Opus Dei off the scent

I enjoyed the movie very much.  It was a great fictional tale!  Great scenery and Sophie was adorable.  I didn't think Tom Hanks did such a terrible job.  A little wooden I guess.  Not so bad.  I've seen worse.  Remember how they ruined Bonfire of the Vanities?
