Ray Winstone (he who got such bad reviews as the cockney Henry VIII LOL) is the title character in the movie release of the epic poem Beowulf.  Methinks this might be a Hollywood first as I can't think of any other poetry getting itself a whole movie   Angelina Jolie is Grendel's mother in this   Crispin Glover is Grendel, while Anthony Hopkins is the king (natch).

Just in case this happy Apple QuickTime trailer is taking as long for you peeps to load as it is for me  the usual suspects have it slapped on You Tube already & tis instant gratification there
