The last surviving complete Tudor Chain of Office is to be auctioned. It was presented to Sir Thomas Montague in 1546.

Found a Reuters feed on it HERE.  Don't know why Mark's link is coming up 404 as I also found that in Google & it opened the BBC News page just fine, & he copied it correctly   The pic is much better on Mark's link, methinks & the article explains it much better than the little squib I found. 
 
O I just discovered if you copy & paste Mark's original link into one's browser, it does open
