That is so awesome.  I just read a book about the Bayeux Tapestry by Andrew Bridgeford.  It was quite good.  He has some interesting theories about how the Tapestry wasn't really designed by a Norman at all, but by an Englishman, or someone who was sympathetic to the English.  How there are all kinds of subversive messages hidden in the Tapestry.  Has anyone else ever read that book, or anything else like that about the the Bayeux Tapestry?  I haven't studied it very much, so I'd be interested to know what other theories there are.
