The History Channel UK....dunno about US yet!

A catastrophic conclusion to the Hundred Years War and an enfeebled monarch helped spark English history’s most bitter dynastic conflict. As the two great Plantagenet houses of Lancaster and York slaughtered each other in their quest for power, the nobility played fast and loose with their affections. Treachery and intrigue at the highest levels dominated thirty years of our history, and it was fitting that the wars?bloody conclusion at Bosworth Field should be decided by an act of betrayal. It was an era that encompassed the largest and bloodiest battles ever fought in this country, and violence that held no respect for rank: murdered kings, slain princes and dukes dragged off for summary execution. A complex period of history often neglected by television, it is nevertheless one that contains some of English history’s most gruesome tales, controversial characters, and the seeds of one of her greatest dynasties.
