Hello - it's me again with another question prompted by the Today in History item....
Is this Henry II (crowned in his father's lifetime) who was known as the Young King and drowned on the White Ship?  I thought that this was the only instance of two crowned Kings in England at the same time.  And it worked out really badly, if I recall - the young king was about as bad as any of his brothers & set up a shadow court....caused any amount of trouble for his father.
Anyway, just wanted to get my Henrys straight !!!
thanks
terri*lee

Ooops..... I shouldn't have put the II in there.....sorry!  I meant to say Henry II had his SON crowned but I got discombobulated LOL & messed it up.  Yes that is the Young King that turned on him.....but no it is NOT the one who drowned in the wreck of the White Ship.....that was actually Henry II's uncle, Matilda's brother William, son of Henry I.  You would think they could have thrown a new name into the mix now & then to avoid the confusion!
