Anyone else read/reading this? I'm still going, but I'm really liking it. I like the style shes used here - with several characters doing the narration. Some might say its confusing, but i say it gives a wide view of perspectives.
I'm thinking its pretty good. I was a little confused at first with the narration but I'm getting it now and I'm enjoying it. I feel so sorry for Lady Jane. Her mother was such a nasty bitch (can I say that?). Nasty hag. She was so mean to her. Life pretty much sucked for women back in the Tudor days. Please don't ban me . I'll be good.
I just finished this book. Took a bit to get into it, what with the point of view changing so frequently. But once it got going, it was really good. Poor Jane, she really was used as a pawn, wasn't she? I think it would have been interesting if she had reigned for a little bit longer, to see if she would have been able to put Northumberland in his place.
Still haven't gotten to any of Weir's fiction (she has another book coming out on Elizabeth soon methinks), but I did read the Laurien Gardner Plain Jane....see my review HERE....I was dying laughing LOL
Correct me if I am wrong...but I think the book on Lady Jane Grey is Alison Weir's first foray into the world of historical fiction. The operative word here being fiction.
