HERE's a paper written by some chap who's supposedly a Mary Boleyn descendent & insists Catherine & Henry Carey were unacknowledged Tudor bastards.  If you click the link it will want to download the paper to Word for you to peruse it.  Had no DANGER DANGER pop up from the antivirus so I reckon tis OK.  I don't think this guy has made his case definitively & it's slapped on Philippa Gregory's site, so there ya go

Sounds like a person in another group I belong to, desperate for a royal connection.

Mmm-hmm, it's like that "past lives regresson" stuff whereby no one ever emerges from hypnosis a peasant who died of the Black Death, but Eleanor of Aquitaine ROFL  Everybody wants that royal connection.

While Catherine Carey was born around the time Henry took up with Anne & dumped Mary, & I suppose it's entirely possible he wasn't interested in either public acknowledgment of another "mere girl" or in reminding folk that his current candidate for queen was his mistress's sibling, I highly doubt by the time Henry Carey came around circa 1528 that Henry & Mary were still an item.  I DO wonder about Catherine, though, with Lettice Knollys looking sooooo much like Elizabeth.

I bet that's why Dudley married her ROFL

Well, Lettice Knollys was related to Elizabeth anyway, her mother, Catherine, & Elizabeth were first cousins through their mothers, Mary & Anne Boleyn.

Always kind of felt sorry for the Carey kids, wonder how old they were when the found out that their mom had a past!  (not too many women were called "a great whore, the most infamous of them all", and by a king of France, no less!)
