Please pray for Tony, father of my closest friend Kathleen, who passed away last Monday evening and whose funeral will be held tomorrow at 11.30 am. Would you also pray for his wife of 63 years, Dorothy, who is lost without him.

May God hold him in his arms.

Thank you to those of you who have added your prayers, they are very gratefully received by Kathleen and Dorothy.

I wanted to tell you about his lovely passing. In the morning he was saying 'no' repeatedly. When asked why he said 'he is reaching out for me from up there and Im not ready to go yet....he is so young and lovely'. Kathleen told him it was OK to go that He was waiting to take his pain away but Tony wasnt quite ready. Later in the evening he said 'Alright, I am ready to go now' when Kathleen asked him what he was seeing he said 'He is reaching out for me again telling me it is time'. His last words were to his wife, 'I love you babe' at 83 that is so lovely. He passsed quietly away just a couple of hours later, they were not there but I think he planned it that way.

Dorothy is really not coping, she is not accepting it and thought she could see him breathing yesterday.

As he was a Burma Star holder his funeral will have a standard bearer to lead the coffin in, his medals will be on top with the standard and the last post will be played.

Thank you friends. The funeral went very well with the last post and standard lowering very poignant. The little chapel was very full which is a measure of how much he was liked.

Yes she will miss her loved one, but he is now out of his suffering, and to tell her,

To feed on her Lovely Memories, that is OK !!

Thank her God for allowing her and Tony all those years together.
