Dear Edith, I have enjoyed reading your
e mails, and I am sure as far as I am concerned our friendship will last
forever, its like having part of my husband and his family, with me when I hear
your voice. I love to hear that brogue, so happy and friendly, not like the
people down here in the south.
I always found them so friendly.
I remember once I was in Chesterfield, and I asked for a packet of
Cigarettes, and the man in the shop made me repeat it about three times, (
I thought he was hard of hearing ) I was only 17 yrS old, and finally he gave me
the cigarettes, and said to me, I JUST LOVED TO HEAR YOU SPEAK, I thought that
was being so nice.
You could walk along Newbold Moor or Whittington Moor, and everyone would
speak to you and say " EY OOP DOOk " hope you can understand that,
My sister in Law lives on MASTIN MOOR, not sure where the others live now,
as Ernie only keeps in touch with Dorothy, he was one of 10.
Hope you fdont think I have rambled on saying nothing, but the thought just
came to my mind. Love you Edith, Love Blossom xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
