When meditating and trying to connect, sometimes I get nothing other than a sort of feeling of something. It's really hard to explain, but my eyes are always shut and for example, the other day I didn't really see anything but it just felt like a cat was walking past the corner of my eye. Then earlier today I got a sort of picture of a face of a dead man (it wasn't very pleasant!). They're not strong what I would call 'signs' just really faint and they go really quickly. Other times I've had flashes of a proper picture so I know for sure these aren't me.

Is this just my thoughts & imagination going mad, or could it be an influence from spirit?

are you sure you are useing proper protection  here..because you should NOT have seen anything that would  scare you...spirit just looks like people....or shadows.....maybe that one was immagination?

Thanks for replying - I ask for protection in my own way, I don't really know how to 'officially'. I've looked on the side boards but can't seem to find it.

The face thing wasn't really scary, it was just the quickest flash. I think the other person was right (in the other thread) that maybe I'm looking into things too much. Hopefully this was my imagination - the cat thing was weird though because it's not like I'm really into them or anything and can't think of why it would have popped up into my mind lol.

Have you ever had a cat....as maybe in family cat at home.....because they often pop in ...dogs the same...and often like just out of the corner of your eye.
Just a prayer asking for protection is all thats needed.

Thanks again, this was a grey cat and we've had plenty of cats in my family but never a grey one lol. I think that was the most vivid of these little episodes. The more I think about the face thing the more I think it was in my imagination - maybe it was from a film I've seen or something, but have no idea why I would think of it.

I've been worrying about the protection thing, I don't say a prayer as such but I've created my own little patter (I'd feel to embarrassed to tell you what it is lol).

On the same note, to 'close down' I've just been basically asking the spirits to stand back and say thank you for listening (a bit longer version, but that's what I'm saying). Is that ok too?

The way I protect myself might be different from others for we all do things differently.
 
But always first ask your guides to be there for you to cover you with light and to protect you.
 
Say a prayer asking for protection and always send out love for that is what you will receive back.
 
Always ask for the cloak of protection to be around you, this will stop the negative feelings coming into you.
 
Always remember if you get a spirit that you dont want near you to be blunt and tell them to leave you alone!  They will listen and leave.
