Hi all.  I just joined your group, and I'm looking for a little help.  Does anyone here ever have dreams that you have but don't remember, but do remember once they happen.  Lately it's been happening to me a lot.  Just last week I knew that I had a dream that I knew was going to happen sometime in the neat future.  But I couldn't remember when it would happen, where it would take place, or what it was about.  Then as I was driving down the freeway I had the sudden urge that I should get off at the next exit, because something terrible was going to happen.  Just as I got off the freeway a 15 wheeler blew a tire and caused this huge ass collition.  Even though I wasn't on the freeway anymore I could see it all passing before my eyes, like I was in it, or something.  But that's only one of many instantces that has happened in the past week.  Anyways, what I would like to know is: Is there anything that I could do to help me remember my dreams, before they come to pass?  Anybody that has any insight to this, please reply.  So far, nobody in any of the other groups I'm in as anything of interest to help me with this.  PLEASE HELP!!!
  Thank You,
           Zainneygirl980

I have been working on trying to find a way to get more vivid information from the dreams that I have.  I'll have plane crash dreams and then something will happen but I never get enough info from them.  For me it's just a matter of training my mind to do it.

From what you are describing tho - it does not sound like dreams.  It sounds more like premonitions and heeding your intuition.  It is like you just knew at that moment what to do.  Like anything else, if you want to hone in on your experiences you need to practice.  What I would start doing is practicing on something simple like the phone ringing.  Listen to your self - guess who it is.  And maybe also keep a journal of things that happen.  Writing things down also helps train the brain.  This journal and the practice will help you keep focus and will probably help you become aware of even more things going on around you - probably even more than you realize.

Zainy, I'm in agreeance with Ecashew...they're obviously premonitions that you're having.

One of the most difficult things that we all face with dreams is the idea that we often cannot remember details of them once they are over.  There's a reason why this happens.

Usually, when we awake from a dream, our first thoughts tend to wander to the "it's just a dream" type of thought and we start looking at our clocks, or go to the bathroom and shove that dream right back away again.

What I recommend is that you keep a pad and a pen beside your bed.  When you have a dream, sit up first and start writing EVERYTHING that you can remember about it, including the feelings/emotions that were there in the dream with it.  Don't leave out a detail and don't worry about how it sounds, or spelling or grammar...just write that sucker down!  Be careful not to turn on a radio, or worry about the time, or thinking ahead...dart straight for that pad.  It usually only takes a moment or two to write down things from the dream, even if only in point form.  It's the distractions that happen immediately after awakening that make us forget these dreams.  By writing them down right away....you'll not push them back into the subconscious from whence they came.

Love and Light,
Louellen

Zaney,
Yes, it happens to me a lot. I have dreams about things that seem totally bizzare and then years later I realize what they mean. For example, I might dream about being in a house I have never seen before and then a few years later move into that house and then suddenly connect it to the dream I had. It is wierd sometimes how that works.

What you experienced is called a Premonition, which is a forewarning of events to come. They sometimes come in the form of dreams or can be triggered by any number of things, almost as if someone has turned on a video tape and the scene is playing out in your mind. They happen for a reason and should not be ignored.

Hi
This happens to me too. I often have trouble remembering dreams that i know can be significant. But i do rembember my dream just when i wake up after one, so what ive starting doing is to keep a diary next to at bed so that the moment i wake up i try to write down all i can remember. But i must say that remembering dream that occur earlier or in the middle of the night is still difficult for me. I think if we can remember all our dreams we will sure find many more premonitions and insights. Let me now if any other techniques work
