I don't think I've slept past 8:30 am since I've lived in this house ...6 years now.  All my gals quietly preen each other or snack on pellets or millet until I get up.  But they are like me . . . getting old.

If Glory isn't up before 7:30 she does the two-toed scratch dance until we get her out of the cage for her morning poop.  She believes it's illegal to poop in her sleepy cage.  Twiggy is very patient about her rising time, just don't let us be late about her 7:00PM bedtime!

Cody starts calling to us as soon as hears  us stirring, but really doesn't dig into his breakfast until around 10:00.

I can't rememberr the last time I wasn't up before the birds...... lol.
Jeremiah though is alsways the first to say something.
If he can't see me, and only hears me moving around, he'll start saying, "Hello? Hellllooo! Is anyone out there??"

sun is out bright here in australia at anywheres from 5 am on. so the birds outside get started then my 2 galahs start in so 5 am wake up call here lol. the cockatiel usually is quiet till he/she hears me moving around.poor little thing lost most of its crest yesterday to the male galah. the tiel was in its cage playing with a toy and the male was up on top of the tiels cage. and someone walked by outside and startled the male which in turn must have thought the tiel had something to do with it and reached in and pulled 5 of his longest crest feathers out.usually he doesnt even notice the tiel  but for some reason he liked his cage that day. so he is no longer allowed up on top of that cage.i am really having a time with this male. he will do that to the female galah to just reach the bars and grab her tail or wing feathers and yank.i seperated the two cause the former owner said the female used to beat up the male  now i think i know why lol.
