In 2003 I moved from Marysville, Washington back to Oroville, Washington, where I grew up. It is really different being back in a rural town of 1500 people in a county of 40,000 people, compared to the Seattle area with all the traffic, malls, etc. My dogs (Shadow and Cocoa), cat (Simba), 8 cockatiels and 2 parakeets made the 267 mile trip in my Honda Accord. The climate is different also; we traded milder temperatures and lots of rain for hotter summers, colder winters and 12 inches of rain/snow per year. |

1981--We lived in the mountains east of San Diego, Calif in a little town called Descanso. Commuted 60 miles to work. Spent our week-ends trail riding our horses and and very involved with 4-H with the girls. We only had a wood stove to heat our little house and loved every minute we lived there. 1964 |

1964 -- I guess the most momentous thing that happened to me was a car accident on February 22nd. That was Saturday night. I was unconscious until Monday. I spent my 17th birthday (the 25th) in the hospital. besides head injuries (that's my excuse for everything ) a piece of metal went in under my right kneecap, so I limped for a long time after. In August I started working at the Bank of Commerce in Pouce Coupe. ummmmm ... 1973 Abby |

1973 My family rented a motor home and all 6 of us (me, parents and 3 sisters) drove out to Arizona from Connecticut to visit my grandfather in Tucson. We had a great vacation (except for my mom burning her foot when a pot of hot coffee spilled)if it was too short to suit me. We stopped here and there to see things, feet family friends, etc. 1996 |

Nice job Erika! I wrote up a list for myself last night, so that I could keep track, but your list is much prettier than mine! |

In April of 1976, we moved into our house in Marysville, WA with our 9 month old daughter, Laura. It was a brand new house, so I learned how to plant a new lawn and lots of bushes. Many adventures ensued before I moved from that house in July of 2003. 1960 |

1960 I was nursing a badly broken heart after seeing my 'boy friend' of several years on a date with one of his ex-girls friends from high-school. We did get back together and patch things up and married in 1961. Little did I imagine that this would be his behavior throughout our 17 year marriage. I was actually blissfully happy for 16 years until I again caught him, this time with a very good frind oh mine...OH UGH! Sorry, too much information! 1970 |
