| Hello I would be one who would like to confirm that it is a good thing to celebrate the birth of Christ.For when I was lost then I was without Christ. But when God saw fit to call me out of sin and into his Kingdom the birth of Christ was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me.Being born again of the incorruptable Word of God where I could call to my Father who gave me life and say thank you Jesus. | |

| Joie do you really think Jesus would object to us giving gifts to one another?, doing something kind for your fellow man?, if I recall, He said it is always good to do good! Can you tell me what people are doing wrong by holiday joy?... Paul I believe said something to the effect, not concerned with motive!, only that Christ be preached!... I 've been around a long time!, and I have yet to see anyone worship a christmas tree or even santa claus! Nope!, not even one place i ever visited did I see them bowing and praising tree or the Claus, and that goes for the "Easta bunny" too!...NOW! May I ask you a question?...Is your house painted?, do you have pictures?, vases of flowers, nic nacs, any furniture other than table chairs and bed?...hmmm?... I lived that way once!, burned everything that was not needed for survival!... No TV, no radio, no newspaper, no books, (other than bible related) no contact with unclean people, cursed their christmas trees (Jeremiah)! I most likely made you look like a heathen!...I for years 52/7's rose up before light, always carried a bible, (or two!) went to meet God and the brethern, prayed for hours (without ceasing) night and day!...Spoke next to NOTHING but the scriptures..."Then the light came, knocked me off my high horse"... I think God threw up on us!...What? us? why we were Godmen!...How could He do such a thing?...Got news for ya! He did!... | You know this really amazes me. You all do not want anything to do with Jesus when it comes to being baptized in his name. But when it comes to all this pagan mess you jump on the band wagon and say let's put the name of Jesus in xmas when you will not even take on his name in bapism. What?  who said santa is not real?...I see him everywhere!...Walked up to him, said "are you real"!, said yes!, "I reached out touched him and he was real flesh and bones"!... If you think celebreting xmas with santa is wrong!, then don't do it!...but might i remind you not to call your neighbor raca, because he chooses to use santa as a symbol of charity and good will...I hope noe of you get no presents from the good ole boy santa!...Love not in word only! jyp | |

First gifts, and of course, Jesus at this point was not an infant, for He was a young "child". There is a scripture. Apostles being denied? I don't think so for you said it, not me. All of it sounds like a mad Baptist to me and one who thinks I am a heathen. That is not what Jesus desired....did He give gifts to others? Yes...even to the point of spitting in one man's eyes twice to "give" eyesight to this fellow. Everyone He touched, and everyone who touched Him was made whole...all "gifts" and all He asked was we believe in the Kingdom of God that He was preaching and teaching. You know better than to ever think that I am a satan worshipper......and the "X-mas" thing...in High School was the first time I ever heard about it or saw it. My teacher told us to abbreviate Christmas this way would take Christ out of Christmas. My feelings are: Christ is better than an "X"......and since so many people associate Christ with Christmas and the birth of Christ...then you'd be double-minded to make Him an X. How could a Christian do that? First person who ever told me they did not celebrate Christmas was a Nazarene. And she wore skirts in gym...we wore the required uniform. It was weird to me. Skirts doesn't look so good when you are making the moves we did in gym. Now, you got on me for the X and Peter. In the back of the book (KJV Bible)is a writing under the name of Peter. It says that Peter went to Rome where tradition says that he was crucified head downward by Nero (A.D. 68) In the book of St John, Christ told Peter of his (Peter's) death, 21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, .....: but when thous shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee wither thou wouldest not. So, what did that mean? You can explain it to me, please do. The very last verse of this chapter says Jesus did so many other things that the world itself could not hold the books should it all be written down. So, if it is not written, it did not happen? What did that verse just say? Can you tell me how Peter died? Do you think that it is not written down somewhere? I think it probably is. It was not cool to be an apostle. The religious people killed them! It wasn't cool to be Jesus...it happened to Him too! Never accepted in His Own Land.... and here, a Christian cannot be accepted by other Christians.....history repeats itself. All I know is Jesus was born, and I know where He is now....and you do not even love me as He said you should. If I was a heathen.....would you try to save me and love me then? Would you tell me good things about Jesus and why I should believe in Him? Do you tell me how good God is? | |

Yes, and do you think he loves having this taken and used to try to justify celebrating devil-worship days? I think not. There is nothing 'holy' about this evil. You all are just upset because someone is once again teaching the TRUTH to you, that all of this is heathen and you are not willing to give up your idol worship for the true Jesus. If I tell you the truth, that is the only love there is. Those who told you Christ was in this heathen sun-god worship idol worship day from way back in Nimrods day, are the ones who hate your soul. God is NOT going to excuse your frollocking and 'sending gifts' to each other celebrating the death of his witnesses just because you call it in honour to him. I can assure you that He will not hold you guiltless. Those gifts the wise men brought to Jesus had not one thing to do with his birthday. Not one thing! You cannot make it be so, no matter how much you try. You really need to study Deut. 12. No need for me to copy it here for you; Isaiah already has. You do not care what God says about anything; all you care about is having it your way. If God blotted the birthday of Jesus out of existence [and He did!] then you better be sure He is not going to put up with your fake idol-worship being called the birthday of Jesus! Now telling you the truth to try to save your soul is the only love there is. Just because you take offense at it does not make it be the way I am saying these things. God sent me to teach this truth, and I will do so as long as I live. Maybe not to you, but I will spend the rest of my life, as I have the past 45 or so years doing, teaching against this devil -worship in the name of a fake jesus. YOu do deny the Apostles teaching when you refuse to be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and be filled with the Baptism of the HG with the same evidence they had = speaking in tongues. Until you obey that, you are lost anyway. To try to get in some other way, is just another way of trying to go over God's head and make him accept your false offering. As I sat here tonight and finished moving this great thread to the special Holiday board, I am amazed at the things written here. I am amazed at the fact that my eleven year old grandson started this thread and wrote such Spiritually intelligent messages to this. May God richly bless that child and lead him on into greater things for the Kingdom of God. Now I wish to add this: None of you can take this evil day of idol worship and make God accept it. You may try, but it is just never going to work. All of your rebellion to this truth proves to me that people love their idols more than truth and their eternal life. God has made it very clear in His Word, that birthday celebrations is not of God. He made it clear that he blotted the day of Jesus' birth out of existance. This alone proves, more than anything else, that God hates this day of frollicking and foolishness and calling it celebrating His Son's birthday. How can you BLESS what God has CURSED? God clearly CURSED THAT DAY. You are fighting against God to try to do so. Now if you can find a place in the Word of God exonarating this foolishness, bring it forth. If you can find one place showing that the disciples or anyone in the Scripture every did this mess, then show it. If it is not in the word, how can you justify it? I suppose this is why some of you get so upset here and stopped dealing with us. So be it. Know that in the end, God will show you that we taught you the truth and you rejected it for your idols. You all wish to be on your way to heaven.......but.you still wish to be just like the rest of the world.....and live in your sins........it is not going to work. You have been warned. JO Smith |
