Hi Annie. My daughter is 19. I say she is P but she is undiagnosed so i don't really know exactly what her condition is. What I do know, is that only she can change her behaviour.and she thinks she is fine and the rest of us are not up to scratch so why should she change? We have had major probs with her for 6 years. During this time she has stolen thousands of pounds off me, few pounds here, few there, lot here, lot there, and always managed to blame somebody else. I am not a stupid person but I am amazed at myself for believing her for such a long time. I think the realisation of what is wrong is so great that we put things to the back of our minds and hope it will go away. Some people must be lucky and their kids do grow out of this behaviour....but P here is 19 and going worse every day. And, as for the lies........they get so prolific that everybody remains in a state of confusion.and then its a house of cards and comes tumbling down round your ears.and nothing is left safe,. Sorry you are here, but pleased to meet you anyway. hugs. genie. |
