I need answers. Tomcat are you still suffering from constant pain level of 8-10 everyday? did you get a chance to get back to work or will you? have you been suffering with pain since you were 20?

Dan, I hope u are recovering from your fall

Did anyone ever hear back from the woman who had a 500 lb object fall on her and then had her leg amputated? I wonder how she is doing.

Katie, I hope your husband is recovering well.

Hissy I hope your hospital visit went well.

Natszo why so many surgeries and not being injured? I want to know more.

I have become very curious as to what Thrashed Arms and Hands is going thru as well and if there was a diagnosis.

I have PT tomorrow. Strangest thing is that I type with two fingers with my rt hand. Said it avoids some nerve injury.

I have turned down 3 job offers now because I am still recovering with my rt hand.

Am still very actively reading posts to stay sane.

You all define what "real" life is about.

Hope all is well

shelly

Hi Shellzee.  Craig has been recovering his strength through this last year.  It takes a long time to come back from something like that.  He does still get tired if he walks too far or does too much so he has to pace himself.  I don't know how much of that is from recovering or how much is from dialysis now.  He goes to dialysis three times a week and we are waiting to see when they want us to come back up to Cleveland to do his pretransplant testing again.  He has to try this again.  His doctors are really pushing him to.  So we will see how it goes.  Lot's of prayers and good thoughts push us forward.
Hugs
Katie

Shelly,
This is Thrashed.  I am a 350 lb. 6'1" biker - electrician from Utah.  I have had numerous fractures to my hands, wrists and other bones.  I have had several surgeries including carpal release on both hands, surgery to remove tissue from badly healed damage, a railroad of stiches from a violent past and most recently I had both elbows repaired for lateral epicondylitis (the Left one twice)  I have arthritis in the majority of my joints, as well as tendon damage, scar tissue, bad breath, warts and a curse from an angry tree gnome.  Stupid gnome...  Any-way, I pretty much hurt all day and all night.  It gets worse when I use my hands to work - again - all day and all night.  This group has given me some understanding ears and some great empathy.  I am unable to use the "heavy" pain meds because I'm still working which usually makes for long days and sleepless nights.  I will share this with you, however, I am a man of faith and I know that eventually I'll get through with God's help.

Welcome to our zoo.

Thrashed,
I think you missed your calling. You should be a writer. I just love reading your posts.
I hit and miss ehre lately, but Monday that should change. The craft show is tomorrow. Hoping to make some money....hoping it doesn't rain......
Wishing everyone as close of pain free day as possible.

He has a pretty wife though,. does our Thrashed.  Dunno how she stands the bad breath and warts.

And the tree gnome never would have cursed you if you hadn't done what you did, Adam.  And you know that.  So don't pick on the gnome.

I'm well recovered from the last fall, hon.   Thanks.

Healing hugs and lots of love,

Dan

I wouldn't curse too many tree gnomes if I were you Thrashed... that stuff has a way of coming back to you, threefold! And I am certain you don't need any cursing yourself...

I saw your request... hope this font is big enough!

Cheryl, you must be going way back to all the old threads, many of which have been sort of "died" long ago.  This one, for example is almost a year old.    That's OK.  It's fun to see Adam's post about his history again.  I had forgotten about the tree gnome curse.    LOL

Be aware though, that you won't probably get a lot of responses to these, since they're so old.

And yes, that font will be just fine.  Thanks for taking into account us old fogeys with bad eyes.  We all really appreciate that.  It's so much easier to read.

Hugs and lots of love,

Dan

Yes Shellzee I am still suffering constant pain.  All the time, 24/7/365 to varying degrees.  My problems started in June 1987, I was 25 years old.  It became disabling to me when I was 41.  For a major portion of this time my pain was at an 8-10 level but recently it has been getting better, closer to a 5-6.

Tis okay Dan... I am reading them to get to know ppl a little better... and sometimes I just can't resist a comment...
Once you get to know me a little better, you'll learn to ignore me. I'm just a philosophical blowhard with a odd sense of humour. I'm relatively harmless.
