Dealing with  your Chronic pain.

Physical and mental health can be intertwined so subtly, you may not be aware of it.  Is is only natural to feel like life is black and white instead of coloured, if you are housebound, have no social contact, and are in pain all the time.

Therefore, we have added some things to do that may lift your spirits and make it easier to deal with pain.  We who live with chronic pain and health issues can still have a positive attitude and be feel happy.

This isn't very organized as yet, but here goes.

Medication

Physio therapy

Using gadgets to help your daily life be easier, we have a tips page that lists many and also a photo album. Some  that you may not think of,  but would help very much are shower wall grip bars, a shower chair to sit on when you shower, a grip bar on the wall beside the toilet, a rope ladder to assist you in sitting up in bed, a cane, a walker, a long handled grabber to pick things up, remove clothes from the dryer and so on, a long handled shoe horn, shoes  & boots that slip on, no laces, so you need not bend so much.

Heating pad

Gel cooler pads

Ice packs

Tens Unit(ask doctor first)

Getting outside for fresh air and a walk-good for body and soul.

Joining support groups in the area for your condition.

Joining internet support groups. Hey, you are reading this, so you on the right track!

Many people find attending church or prayer groups helps them feel happier and less isolated.

Volunteering for something to get your mind occupied and distracted, helping others is good medicine. We all have something to offer someone, even if you don't think you do, most likely you do have something to offer. Even posting a supportive message or befriending someone on the internet can help you feel better. It feels good to make someone else feel better!

Taking up a hobby or interest.

Writing a daily journal, or blog on the web.

Expressing yourself in poetry, or art
