Hi Lizzy
Lavender can be dried between paper towels in the microwave, then  used in little bags of gauzy fabric tied with ribbon to put in your linen closet and hang in your closet to add a nice scent. I use lavender water in my iron and press my pillowcases with it, but I  have only tried it with a lavender oil I buy. I add a few drops to a jug of water then put some in my iron. The instructions for lavender water on the following link would make a nice spray for pillowcases, I am going to cut some lavender from my garden and give it a try. Some people mix a little (of the buds in with  (non instant) oatmeal flakes and put in a gauze bag or an old knee high knotted tightly shut,(just a handful) and run the bath water over it for a skin softening(oatmeal) and relaxing(lavender) bath.

What a fun website. . .who knew. . .bug bites.  You know, the whole time we were picking, my daughter kept telling me how inexpensive this lavender was. . . I had never even looked at lavender (except to attempt to grow it in my yard - too dry here, didn't have any success) but after looking at Sequim Growers prices, I see what she meant. . .the equivelent to what we picked for $5.00 a bundle. . .on their website, was $25. . .and I'm not really sure that it is as large a bundle as we picked. . . boy, I didn't have a clue. . .Thanks for the info Hanna!  Hugs, Magic Lizzy

Lavendar is one of the magickal herbs and has wonderful properties for healing and relaxation. Adding lavendar to a heating pad helps the heat penetrate better, and keeps the heat longer.
Adding lavendar to the bath helps relaxation and meditation.
It is wonderful added to a greens salad with balsamic dressing.
It makes a great tea! and is tasty added to ice creams and vanilla puddings and tapioca.
Added to your pillow case, it helps induce sleep.
There are MANY other ways to use lavendar besides helping things smell great!

Maggie, I took this picture a couple of days ago.. It is my lavender plant, it is 10 years old and I cut it way back last year. It is under my bedroom window and when it rains, it smells wonderful!
I bought a new one that I think is slightly differant, but didn't put it in the ground yet.  Probably will do that tonight of tomorrow.  Well, my son is going to do it for me due to my back.
