This is the first I've heard of it, Katie. If we hear from MSN, we'll certainly keep our members posted.

Perhaps changing, not positive.  This message is on Community Feedback.
Nobody panic though, we already have 2 backup goups well in place.
A yahoo one, (I personally do not like yahoo groups at all,.)
And we have the following  one, which seems pretty good and easy to read.

If you haven't joined, please do so, so you will be prepared if and when this one closes.  We'll still be using this group, until we cannot.

Click this link and check it out, and please do join.
I don't go over there and post  at this point, because this is our active group,  but you may want to go and practise using their tools and get familar with the site.

It is actually WAY better than this one, has a SPELL CHECK!  And, you can go back and edit a post after it is posted, if you notice an error or anything!  I love that!
It has smilies and you can post pictures ect.

I've joined Multiply using my old Passport ID ([email protected]) just so I can remember myself easier. LOL it looks pretty simple to set up; I haven't tried to check out any chats or groups yet. Moving photos was an easy matter, which was a nice change; just drag and drop for the most part.

I joined it too Cyndy, 2 other groups I am in made them for back up boards, but don't use them. There are no message boards. You can only leave a blog message and people can reply to it.

"it's likely that the company is hoping users will scoff at the idea of having to migrate, and just sign up on the new Live service when it launches. "

Like me, lol.

GREAT news!
Just found an awesome format that is almost the same as this one!
I made up a  new site for Dan and Cyndy to check and see if they approve of it.
I haven't built any topics or done anything other than create it so we would have the same name if we decide to use it.  Again, I suggest people sign up, this one looks really easy to use and very much the same as msn!http://forum1.aimoo.com/DealingWithChronicPain
These are our other 2 back up sites.  So far, the aimoo one is closest to this one and what people are familar with.

OK.  I'm in too.  Let's hope we can stay here for now.  Change is so hard on folks.

Hugs and lots of love,

Dan

PS.  Hannah, you rascal.  You already have done a lot of work over there for "just in case".  You never cease to amaze me, girl.  <Dan makes a note to give Hannah a raise.   Let's see.  Ten per cent should be about right.   >

Yeah my husband runs a hometown MSN site and doesn't know what to do if they do shut it down, he and others are looking into others with the same format with message board and pics, (he has alot of pics posted all the time).  He has been running his site for over 7 years and created it himself with alot of hard work.  He has 1069 members from people who live in our town, people who have graduated and moved away to people who have camps here.  It is mostly a way to stay in touch, school closings, chat, pics, sports, meeting, classifieds, just about everything our local paper has but it doesn't only come out once a week and doesn't cost a buck to buy; lol.  He is real bummed.
But anyhoo I too joined the aimoo1 just in case they shut down.
Good luck and hopefully they won't do it.
Kim

Hi Hannah, count me in. I just signed up for it. Will it have the fonts size, etc? I'm so proud to have learned it that I don't want to lose it. I looked around a little, but couldn't figure some things out. [ sounds like someone who taught me all the other stuff may have her job cut out for her!!!] Hope this finds you well and pain free.  lots of love gramanan

You can have differant sized fonts, add pictures, video's and we even have a free chat room there!
So far everyone seems to prefer the aimoo site, (including me).
Here is the url to it for anyone who hasn't checked it out. Sorry I can't make it clickable, I am using mozilla browser. Just copy and paste
http://forum1.aimoo.com/DealingWithChronicPain
