After months of silence, I break the barriers. I admit it. I was working some at the flower shop while battling disability. Back earlier this year, I got so sick to death of the boss lady's dramas and all her married men. She couldn't find the money to pay me, but yet, she could find the money to buy airline tickets to here and there to visit the one in Conneticut. So, in June, after getting so far behind in my bills, I knocked the hell out of her drunken "friend" Scottie, (who later called her while she was at the beach with her friends getting plastered, crying on her shoulder). I got a JOB!!!! I am working at the local grocery store. Been there since Aug 6, as a cashier/florist/meat clerk. I unloaded on my therapist, (Mark, supported me thru all this, and who also refused to believe me when I said I thought I needed to spend time in the pysch ward). He is excited. Totally! I am truly happy right where I am. I get to do the flowers, produce, dream (and dream big, to!). We have a new manager there. She started 3 weeks after I did. I told her how we needed to do the flowers to turn a profit instead of taking a loss. How to improve the looks of the silk flower pots we sell (they come in premade), and how I wanted to change everything. She told me I was saying all the right things, so she gave me the department!!!!! But when I told my old boss lady, I was called everything in the book, including "BACKSTABBER".She actually had the nerve to tell me "don't go up there and fluff their silk flowers when they come in premade". How dare she! She didn't appreciate anything I ever did. Poor thing, she has to run the shop by herself now. When the plants come in, I shine them up, put bows on them place signature cards on them, and have them ready for a customer if they need one to go to a funeral.Everything I did for the boss lady, but I do it now for someone who appreciates it. I am still taking vicodin and flexeril for the pain in my lower back. Let's don't forget the Celexa. Man....I really do think if it weren't for this drug, I'd really be in a dark place right now. Yeah, lifting 20 cases of bananas, 50 lb bags of potatoes, cases of tomatoes plus the cases of meats tend to aggravate the 2 bulging discs in my lower back. I've been there since Aug 6, and have not called out yet! I've been called in, and had to stay over quite a few times, (teenagers just don't get that this is a real job, and you can't layout with out consequences.) I hope each and everyone of you will accept me back into the group.I just had so much on me and needed to work thru it. Doofers |

Welcome home, hon. It's so good to see you back here, and great that you've found a job where you're appreciated. Dan's right, though; take care with those heavy weights, and lift from your knees! Give your old boss as much competition as you possibly can, sweetie! : )

Good to see you again, Racer - David...lol. Of course, you are welcome here....whenever you want to come in and 'see' us. We often wonder what has happened to our members....so it's good to know you are okay....at least alive and well....well, alive anyway....lol. Sorry you've had all those surgeries.....I've had 9 on the lumbar area; but 3 in the cervical neck area. Plus I've had about a total of 50 surgeries.... mostly all bone related. I've had my knees (3 knee replacements)...no, I don't have 4 legs either....lol. The first one I had done loosened up after only 4 years and I had to have the replacement redone....total revision. It was either I wait until, one day, I get up from the bed or a chair, and the thing totally 'breaks', or I did it on my time....which is what I chose to do. Figured that was the better choice! I just had my right knee done in January...that one hasn't done as well as the other one, unfortunately. You can read about me under 'meet the managers', under "Dee". Anyway, good to see you again, David....and hope that you will pop in again soon.... Hope your pain levels are staying low for you, too. Let us know how that's going, okay??? Hang in there! Hugz, Dee |

DOOFERS!!! IT IS YOU!!! Girl, we have been missing you. Welcome back!!! It is so good to hear from you. I am glad that you finally got away from that ugly, old woman and are now working at a place that appreciates you and everything that you do for them. Yes, like the others said, you give that old woman some competition there in that grocery florist. You make that grocery florist "THE" place to come for ""ALL of their floral needs". You can do it, I know you can. Just give you a bit of time, you'll have a nice clientele built up there with you. I wouldn't be surprised if you're not making funeral sprays before long! LOL We've had Hissy back with us for a while but she's been busy with a big move of her own and she's preparing for the cold weather right now. I'm sure she'll check in soon. Hopefully, you'll catch her soon too. And we have a ton of new members for you to meet as well. It's good to have you back and I'm so glad you are doing better. Welcome home, doofers, welcome home! tomcat You were missed! |

Hey there, David, welcome back! We must not have had your birthday on the calendar, unless you changed your nickname from Iceman to Racer37. : ) (And your birthday from the 3rd to the 5th...) I have enough trouble keeping track of the ones ON the list! : ) So a very belated "Happy Birthday" to you! Wow, I thought I had a stiff back; you've got me beat by miles; at least you've got the hardware to prove it! I hope all that surgery lessened your pain somewhat.
