Dang teenagers. They want the paycheck, but not the work. Another one called out yeaterday, so I pulled 2 shifts. I had to go in today to make a few funeral flowers and deliver them to a funeral home 20 miles away. My new boss, Nancy, was inpressed with my work, and my sale yesterday. You see, here at this store, we don't have a full time florist. I only get 13 hours there a week in that dept, so the rest of my 40, I get as a cashier, meat clerk and produce clerk. These 2 little women came in yesterday, asked if we had a florist on hand, (lucky me!!) and I worked with them setting up a beautiful display for the services for their mother. Honey, I'm back in my element!!! I have tons more stuff coming in tomorrow. They ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until LOVE-Day Doofers |

That's terrific, hon. Knowing you before you know it that florist job will be full time. You'll build it up and make it a money maker, and put your old boss out of business. LOL See? And all she had to do was treat you right and give you some credit. Right? Well, some money would have been good too, huh? Hope you do well there, sweetie. Just take care of that back. You show them what you can do, Sandra, and just maybe they'll expand that department and make you the head of it. Who knows, they might even give you a delivery person if it gets busy enough. Wouldn't that be terrific? : ) You keep showing initiative, and the customers will come and buy the product; you'll see.

Hope this is the beginning of a brand new career for you, Sandra!! I'm sure those two ladies will tell their friends what a beautiful job you did....and how nice you were, too.....you WERE nice, weren't you???? LOL.....LOL....just kidding ya!! Here's to better days ahead!! Hopefully, the owner will give those teens just a few times that they call out and don't come to work, without good excuses. Then they are GONE!!! There are lots of people looking for a job these days.....sure there are some that would take those jobs in a heartbeat! Dee |
