It's getting chillier here now, but not cold.  The sky spit water for about a minute.  Just enough to make everything all messy.  Saturday late morning, I got a call that there was a dealer job for hubby and me so I said, sure no problem.  I got my things together, took a short nap then got up showered, curled my hair with the curling iron and got dressed (yes, that ugly boot and all).

They didn't know for sure if there would be sit-down or standing tables, so I took my stool since I was dealing black jack.  We hopped in the car and off we went, not far from home actually which was nice.  We circled the block because the street we had to go to was one way, the other way to get to the place.  We parked, grabbed our things and into the building we went.  It was a nice place.  There was one wee, small problem.  No elevator.  Yes, you read this right, no elevator.  Not so bad?  The job was on the third floor.

So after I got through laughing, I asked who was going to help my happy, heavy backside up three flights of stairs.  The did have a nice young man who helped me.  After I got there (and asked for the oxygen), we saw there was one sit table and all the rest were stand up.  Thankfully, I had my stool.  Bobby took the sit table.

It was a party for doctors from a local hospital.  How about that?  I guess you can't deal cards for a better group when you've just hiked up three flights of stairs.  After the job, I just rolled myself into a ball and bounced my way down the stairs (not really).  I did take time so I wouldn't do any bouncing all the way down though.

We got home about 12:30 am so I decided to get on line for a while.  Bummer.  My internet was not working.  I called tech support, but after about a half hour of holding, I gave up.  I tried again Sunday, but they thought it was somethig on the lines and told me to call back today  (Monday).  After hours of head banging, I finally got back on line.  So, if you haven't seen me around for a couple of days, now you know why.  So, what did you do for your weekend?  Hugs,  Claire

Glad you had an 'interesting' weekend...lol.  Can't believe there was no elevator though....guess you can't live there if you're not healthy..lol.  Good for you for making it up the stairs....am surprised they don't have a chair glide there though.  Guess these people don't have any 'disabled people' come to visit them though...sad.

Hope this coming weekend is a good one for you, Claire!  And, one with an elevator..lol.
Hugz,
Dee

That must have been a very old building.  Anything built in the last 25 years or so would have had to have an elevator by code.

What's that Chinese curse... "May you live in interesting times."  Right?  Heh, heh.  Now you know why.

Hugs and lots of love,

Dan
