Happy Birthday, Bev! How's fall coming along down there in the Ozarks? I bet it's beautiful. : ) We miss you here, hon; I hope you stop in more often now that things should be a little less busy for you with your garden shutting down more. I hope you have a wonderful birthday on Saturday, and many more to come!

Cyndy

Happy Birthday, Bev!  Hope things are going well for you...and your pain levels are staying low for you.  We miss seeing you, and hope you will 'pop in' to visit with us before the 'move'.

Again, have a wonderful day!!
Hugz,
Dee

What a way to start out.  I messed up on the first.  I managed to lose my writing on the second.

This is my third attempt to wish you a happy birthday.

Thank you all so much for the birthday greetings.  I check in often to find out how all of you are doing.  Things have been pretty good with me.  Just the same old stuff!!!  Same old pain, same old fight to get it treated--some things never seem to change.

Funny you should say something about gardening, Cyndy, I was just online ordering frost blankets for two giant boston ferns I've got out front.  They're too big to wrestle up on the porch (my dear husband did try for me but they've sent out runners and are pretty much anchored to the ground even though they were planted in pots).  It's supposed to get down to 27 tonight.  I threw some flannel sheets over them.  The wind is still so the sheets should stay put for the night.  Hopefully the frost blankets will help when they arrive.

It has been a beautiful fall.  The leaves are pretty much gone now.  Everyone here is praying for a milder winter this year.  Last winter we had a tornado followed by a snow storm.  We were without power for about a week following the tornado and then again following the snow storm.  We were lucky, we have a generator.  Thank God for Walmart--they sent a huge generator truck to their local store so we had access to food and supplies, including gas.  We were well prepared but lots of folks weren't.  Walmart was the only business open in town.  If you've not lived through a tornado or seen in person the damage they can do, you just can't imagine the power of those storms.  Then in the spring, we had two floods just two weeks apart.  Poor folks had just cleaned up from one when the second one hit.  Thankfully, we had no damage to our home from the tornado or the floods.

Thanks again for the birthday well wishes.  You're a terrific group!  Hopefully I'll be able to make the transition and not lose track of you.  You're real friends to me!  God bless and keep you.
