Well, not too much bad news...not news at all really.  My clinical coordinator is not very organized, and I'm being polite here (just in case this message gets into the wrong hands!).  Anyhow, she "lost" my first email, sent the beginning of October.  I'm not sure how an email gets lost, but oh well.  Found this out 3 weeks later when I called and nothing new had happened *surprise, surprise*...I resent the email immediately, and she confirmed receipt.  I also called her to talk about a 1 week remediation internship which I could complete before my wedding, and then followed up 2 days later with the same in writing, on October 18th.  Let's see...today is November 11th, and no reply to that email.  That's 3 and a half weeks, folks. (So much for getting the remediation out of the way early, too late now!)  I mean, I know I'm anal by checking my email 5x a day, but a simple "I got it, and I'll work on it" after nearly a month would suffice!  OK, so then my dad helped me write up a carefully worded email on November 5th, requesting that all internships be sorted out by Friday the 21st (day before the wedding), and that I can begin my repeat internship Monday, January 5th.  I'll be out of town from Nov. 23rd to Dec. 15th (Australia), and again from Dec. 18th to 31st (Canada). So really, only 10 days left for her to get her act together, which for the past 6 weeks she has done absolutely nothing.  Frustrated to say the least, but I think its out of my hands now.

OK, enough rambling about the bad things!  SO, wedding count down to 10 days!  I'm super excited! Everything is coming together really nicely.  I spent a beautiful day in Napa on Friday (sampled 19 different wines..woah! LOL). I went with one of my friends from North Carolina, who was here on a business trup.  My bachelorette party is on Friday, the 14th in San Francisco, and we'll spend the night (8 or 9 of us, just girls!).  My friend came down on Saturday and we bought $100 worth of brand new make-up (on dad's credit card, even better! LOL) (she's gonna make me pretty for the wedding :))  My bridal shower will be on Sunday the 16th, with about 20 ladies for lunch and jabber :).  Then I'll be taking my cousins to the bay aquarium on Monday (they are 8 and 10...flower girl and ring bearer, so they'll really appreciate spending the day with just me and them!)  And the best news of all, is that I got my prescription filled :).  My regular PCP is on maternity leave, and I was afraid that her cover physician wouldn't fill my meds.  Well, I was wrong!  I ordered 90 pills (tylenol 3) and was sent 3 bottles of 30.  Not usually the way I get them, but who cares!  The way my insurance works, they are "free", with no co-pay.  It really gives me peace of mind to know that my pain can be well managed on all of my travels out of the country, and I won't have to worry about refills for a while!  Happy days are here!

Sorry got a little long...I know some of you enjoy reading my wedding updates :) And I promise I'll get pictures up by January, but not sure how much time I'll have in November and December. I'll do my best!

I can read the excitement in your post, sweetie.

Don't let anything ruin this for you.  Just go ahead now and get married like you planned.  You've got the rest of your life to worry about things.  Right now, just enjoy yourself.  And know that all of us are here and are thinking of you and saying prayers that all will go well and you will have the best days of your life.

Hugs and lots of love,

Dan

Jen you sound so excited about your wedding, keep your mind on that and all the joy and happiness you are having right now with all the plans.  The day of will be yet another new excitment you have yet to experience, it is going to be awsome!  I cannot wait to get that post!
As far as your intership "all good things will come to those who wait" is about all I can say.  Just like your wedding I know it will all come together and better than before because you know what to do know.  They just HAVE to give you another chance!
Have fun sweety, enjoy your family with all the excitement it brings!

Jen!  I can't believe it's here already!  Just 9 more days now.  Time's a ticking.  I hope you enjoy and savor every minute of each event up until and after your big day.  You only do it once so be sure and enjoy every last minute of it.  I'm glad everything is falling into place and you aren't stressing out over anything.  That's the way it should be and a sign of a well planned wedding.  Pat yourself on the shoulder young lady.  The last bride I worked with planned from February through October and still waited until the last minute on a lot of stuff and was stressed to the hilt even on the day before the wedding.  I felt so sorry for her in one way, but then I didn't in one way too.  I mean, I kept telling her we needed to get this stuff taken care of and she wouldn't make up her mind.  Ended up, she didn't do it and then there she was the day before the wedding.  I'm glad you have everything done and finished.  But you're an organized and efficient person!

Well, you have a great weekend and enjoy every event that you participate in.  Savor every moment.  I'll be thinking about you!

Had an AWESOME time at my bachelorette party last night.  I lived it up with 8 girls in San Francisco Friday night.  The weather was just gorgeous!  We got 2 hotel rooms right next to one another to crash for the night (at like 4 AM).  I had 5 alcohol beverages over the course of 6 hours (which really isn't so bad, I suppose!)...of course, I didn't pay a dime for any of it....that's what guys are for :) My back and my hip were totally awesome to me the entire night.  Of course, with 2 tylenol 3, naproxen and that much alcohol, I shouldn't feel a thing!  Yeah, yeah, I know....don't mix narcotics and alcohol. But you know what??? I had a wonderful evening without pain in my back and hip, so it was worth it, I think.  Now my feet on the other hand were absolutely killing me.  I hate high heels...especially in the hills of SF!  I also had a splitting headache for like 2 hours, but that went away once I had a few glasses of water to rehydrate.  I have some of the decent pictures of my on facebook, so I'll grab that link and post it below.  There were also some not so decent pictures, silly games and such which are not quite appropriate for public display!  Needless to say, I got a little embarrassed, but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I really enjoyed myself. All the girls had a really good time, too.

Today all of my mom's family arrived from Canada, so we had a big noisy household of people, but it was really nice to see all of them!  Tomorrow is my bridal shower, probably around 15-20 people, I think.

SO yeah, if I don't post much it's because I'm spending time with my out of town guests.  I"m sure you'll all understand....I'll be sure to post pictures as often as I can :)

Great pictures, Jenn! : ) I especially loved the "red-headed slut (the drink, not Jenn)" HAHAHA. Beats me how you kept that sundae down on top of all that booze; you must have one tough tummy, kid. What counts is you had a wonderful time, and it shows! : ) Keep on having fun, sweetie; our hearts are with you, even if we can't be!

yeah, I had two of that particular drink.  They are sooo good!  It goes down really smooth, so they can be quite dangerous if you drink too many!

And that sundae????to DIE for.  OH my goodness, the best ever!  It was called black and white sundae.  It was two scoops icecream (one each chocolate and vanilla), with chocolate sauce, marshmallow cream, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry on top.  Woah!  And yes, I finished every last bite!  (all though some of my friends stole some of the whipped cream :))

My tummy didn't have any problems the entire night, so yay!  I think the key was eating a good dinner before the clubs (we went to thai food), and staying properly hydrated with water throughout the evening (I slacked off on the water in the middle, which is why I got the killer headache...but I did really good with water at the beginning and end of the evening).

P.S.  The recipe is 1 oz. peach schnapps, 1oz Jagermesiter, and cranberry juice.

MMMMMMM!

Glad you enjoyed your bachelorette party....looks like you had a ball, too!!!  Sorry you got a headache.....you should have had a 'doozy' with all that stuff though....lol.

Enjoy your bridal shower, too....and all of your company (family), too.  Sounds like you are...lol.  It's a once in a lifetime, Jen....and sure you will remember it, too.

Now...remember to drink lots of water today.....LOL.

Dee

GRRR!
I despertly wanted an ice cream sundae after seeing that picture, and remembered, to my great joy that we bought several of the Nestle ones recently. Not anywhere near as good as a real one, but any port in a storm, especially at 3 am!
So I trot off to the freezer, only to find SOMEONE ate half of the last one, right from the container. SOMEONE with strep throat, so I could not risk having any.
SOMEONE and I are going to go out this week to buy ice cream and whipped cream. I have the marshmallow and chocolate and nuts already, and I figured, we can get a bunch home made for the price of buying one in the shop.
On second thought, maybe the sake of my waist, I should just buy one.

Yeah, Hannah, but then SOMEONE is liable to do it again; you know that. You could spit in it in front of him, but it might not stop him. LOL Kids.
